Carmel School Moodbidri celebrated the 74th Republic Day on January 26th with patriotism and fervour. The event began invoking God’s blessing with a prayer song and thereafter, our Joint secretary Sr. Priya Maria A.C. unfurled the national flag. The entire audience saluted the national flag with respect and pride to the tune of the national anthem. The Students sang patriotic songs which brought a sense of patriotism among all. The cultural programme was then followed in the school hall. Students of class IIA invoked God’s blessing on the country to safeguard and protect our nation with equality and peace. Eva Lobo and Adithi Hegde of VA welcomed the gathering. Our Principal Sr. Jyothi and Sr. Elena the Administrator graced the occasion with their presence. To mark the occasion the school echoed with patriotic fervour as the students of class IIIB and IIA danced to the tune of patriotism. To exhibit this patriotic spirit Anushrutha of class VA presented the significance of the day. The Chief Guest for the day was Mrs. Jenifer Pramila Pinto. She in her address highlighted the significance of the day and made the students aware that the future of our country lies in their hands. She asked the students to make our country one of the best nation in the world. The school had organised various competitions on the occasion of Republic Day and the winners were felicitated. The Bharat Scouts and Guides had conducted Science Mela, International Cultural Jamboree-2022 held at Alva’s Education Foundation were also felicitated. The class bulletin boards were beautifully decorated showing sense of patriotism. Sr. Jyothi, the Principal administered the preamble of Indian Constitution and all the Students & staff took a pledge to abide by our constitution.
Ayush Anchan and Riona Noronha of VA compered the programme. The vote of thanks was proposed by Jessica Miranda of class IIIB.
