Carmel School CBSE Moodbidri organised a talk on 'physical and psychological sexual changes in puberty' for the classes from 6th - 10th on 23rd and 24th of November 2021. The guest speakers were Dr. Roshan Pinto, Principal Alvas Homoeopathic Medical College and Mrs. Punarva M.H, Lecturer for Nursing in Alvas Medical College. The main aim of the talk is to prepare the young children for puberty.

The session began invoking God's blessings with a prayer song. Tr. Renita Dsouza and Aaron D'souza of class 9th welcomed the guests.

Mrs. Punarva in her address discussed personal hygiene, adequate and healthy diet, changes in mood and self esteem during puberty. She also mentioned about many changes to the body as a young person transitions from a child, to an adolescent, to an adult.

Dr. Roshan Pinto addressed the students regarding puberty and adolescent issues and clarified students innumerable doubts.

The students were appreciative of the platform provided to freely express their concern and obtain guidance to deal with the changes they experienced. The session was a success in imparting appropriate information and increasing their self awareness. It was indeed an informative and knowledgeable session for the growing up girls and boys.
