CARMEL SCHOOL, MOODBIDRI (C.B.S.E.)

A.Moral and Spiritual Education: A lot of importance is given to inculcate moral and Gospel values during the daily assembly taking suitable scriptural passages from the Bible and the other inspirational reading. In preparation for the feast of ‘Nativity of Our Lady’ in the month of September we had Novena. Catechism and Moral science classes held regularly.

B.Intellectual Enhancement and Excellence: Regular tests, exams, quizzes, exhibitions and monthly competitions were an opportunity for our students to show their intellectual excellence, thinking power, skills and creativity. Students took part in Prathibha Karanji held at Zonal and Taluk level and bagged many prizes individually and in group.

C.Social and Emotional Development: The students are loved, respected and encouraged to have a healthy self – esteem. The parents of the students with behavior problems and slow learners are called and given special guidance. The students are encouraged to have good manners and etiquette. Encouraged to have dignity of labour – Shramadhan on Gandhi Jayanthi day.

D.Cultural and Co-curricular Activities: All the National Festivals, Carmel Feast, Christmas, World Peace Day, Vanamahostava, Environment Day and all the days of importance have been celebrated with meaningful prayer services and programmes. Annual Day Celebration – Second of December together with the Holy Rosary High School. Annual Sports Day – Squad wise March past, Squad wise display of Drills and Athletic, track events were conducted.

E.Out – Reach and Social Concern: A few students of classes VI & VII together with a teacher went to “Old Age Home” Alangar. To share with the old inmates of the institution the things they had contributed soaps, toothpaste, tooth brush, fruits, biscuits etc. The students were very happy to interact and share their mite with the old. 

Staff and Quality Enhancement: Nine of our Staff Members participated in two days C.B.S.E – CCE Assessment seminar conducted by management at Carmel School, Mangalore.

School Inspection By C.B.S.E Board: 28th February 2015 marked a special day for our school as C.B.S.E board conducted the inspection for the Affiliation. The Inspection Team was much pleased with the infrastructure and other presentation of records. The School is now affiliated to CBSE Board with Affiliation No 380579.
