On 19th November 2024, Carmel School Moodbidri joyously celebrated the Establishment Day of the Apostolic Carmel Congregation, marking 154 years since its establishment by Venerable Mother Veronica in Mangalore. The occasion resonated with gratitude and admiration for the legacy of Mother Veronica, a pioneer in women's education in India.
The event began with a graceful introduction by students Rishon and Sharadhi, who set the tone for the day with inspiring quotes and reflections on the life and vision of Mother Veronica. They highlighted her timeless contributions and emphasized the importance of prayer and education in transforming society, especially through the empowerment of women.
The program included a soulful prayer service, which invoked blessings and expressed profound gratitude for the Institution and its guiding principles. A captivating welcome dance followed, performed by the students, leaving the audience mesmerized.
The highlight of the celebration was a skit depicting the Life of Mother Veronica, where students skillfully portrayed her virtues, thoughts, and dedication. The performance vividly brought to life her journey of courage, faith, and service. Other segments included reflections on her legacy, culminating in a heartfelt concluding dance, celebrating the enduring impact of her mission.
The Chief Guest of the day, Sr. Elena A.C. the administrator delivered an inspiring address, emphasizing the significance of the day and the vision of Mother Veronica in promoting women’s empowerment. She lauded the efforts of Sr. Rosy, the coordinator, and extended special appreciation to Grade 4A students and their class teacher, Tr. Deepa, for their meticulous execution of the event.
Sr. Preena A.C., in her speech, reflected on the profound influence of Mother Veronica on every member of the Apostolic Carmel and reiterated the day’s importance.
The program concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks delivered by the students, expressing gratitude to all contributors. The event was a true homage to Mother Veronica’s vision, leaving a lasting impression on everyone present.
