The event commenced with a Eucharistic banquet led by Fr. Wilson Tauro OCD offering thanks for the many blessings granted to the nation and its people.
The dignified Flag Hoisting Ceremony as part of its Independence Day celebration took place at Carmel School Ground. The school's contingent rendered a dignified guard of honor to the Tiranga marching proudly past the national flag.The ceremony was conducted with grace and enthusiasm by Risha Pereira, who served as the Master of Ceremony. The event began with a warm welcome address delivered by Anson. A moment of reflection was observed through a solemn prayer song.The Flag Hoisting Ceremony was a proudly undertaken by the chief guest Mr Jossy Menezes PTA Vice president and it was a central moment of the event. Sr. Gracilda A.C the Principal, delivered a speech that underscored the role of education in shaping a better future and encouraged students to embrace the values of independence in their personal and academic lives.At the conclusion of the program, Glenson delivered a heartfelt vote of thanks.
The cultural extravaganza took place on 14 th August in the school auditorium orchestrated by Grade 9B. Esteemed dignitaries and the chief guest Sir P. Shridhar Assistant Conservator of Forest department Moodbidri Division were warmly welcomed by the school's exceptional band. The program began with a solemn prayer service invoking God's blessings on the nation and its people followed by a captivating welcome dance that evoked deep patriotic feelings among all present.
Anson extended a unique and warm welcome to the gathering setting the tone for the heart-touching skit "Wings of Will " performed by the students. Vibrant dance performances further ignited the audience's sense of national pride. The significance of the day was eloquently highlighted by Melrone Lewis adding depth to the celebration.
The chief guest Sir P Shridhar was accompanied to the dais by Sr Maria Gracilda A.C the principal, Sr. Elena the administrator, Sr. Preena A.C the vice-principal ,Mr Jossy Menezes PTA Vice President and Sr. Ranitha the coordinator. Sr. Maria Gracilda A.C presented a memento as a token of love and respect to the distinguished guest.
In his address the chief guest extended heartfelt wishes on this momentous occasion urging the students to embrace the spirit of patriotism and emphasizing the importance of clean air and a healthy environment. He stated “Good oxygen is more essential than even the richest food." Sr. Gracilda A.C in her speech emphasized the importance of unity in good deeds and the need to distance ourselves from negativity while also appreciating the soldiers who defend the nation. The vote of thanks was gracefully proposed by E. Sunheri and the program was beautifully compered by Clarissa Dcosta.
