Nov 4, 2024 : The excited students of Grade III from Carmel School Moodbidri set out on a thrilling field trip eager to explore both the wonders of nature and the mysteries of the universe. The adventure began as they boarded the buses filled with anticipation and excitement. After a pleasant drive through scenic landscapes the group arrived at their destination.
Upon arrival the students enjoyed a quick snack before embarking on their first adventure – a visit to the zoo. As they explored the vast area the children marveled at the diversity of animals they encountered. From majestic lions to playful monkeys every stop brought excitement and curiosity. However what truly captivated the students were the different species of snakes. Their keen interest and wide-eyed wonder reflected their fascination as they learned about these reptiles’ habitats, behaviours and unique characteristics. Walking through the zoo they soaked in the sights and sounds of the animal kingdom appreciating the beauty of wildlife and nature.
After a morning of exploration the group gathered for a well-deserved lunch. This was followed by a delightful playtime in the nearby park where the students could unwind and enjoy the open space. The swings, slides and green lawns offered them a chance to recharge their energy for the next exciting leg of the journey.
The day’s adventure didn’t end there. Post-lunch the students headed to the Planetarium where they were introduced to the vastness of the cosmos. The highlight of their visit was an awe-inspiring 3D film about galaxies and the wonders of space science. As the lights dimmed and the stars came to life on the screen the students were transported beyond Earth expanding their understanding of the universe. The immersive experience sparked their curiosity about outer space galaxies, planets and the mysteries that lie beyond our solar system.
With hearts full of excitement and minds enriched with new knowledge the students boarded the buses for the return journey. But the fun was far from over. On the ride back the children broke into spontaneous singing and dancing, their laughter echoing through the bus. The joy and camaraderie shared during the trip created lasting bonds and memories that the students will carry with them for years to come.
The day ended with beaming smiles and stories to share as students returned home with a newfound appreciation for both the natural world and the universe. The trip was not just an outing but a hands-on learning experience filled with fun discovery and adventure. It was a day the students will cherish for a long time marking yet another memorable event in their school journey.
