The Carmel School community came together in high spirits to celebrate the much-anticipated Christmas event radiating joy and devotion. The day commenced with a solemn Eucharistic celebration invoking the blessings of Baby Jesus and setting a spiritual tone for the festivities.
The Christmas program unfolded with a heartfelt prayer service where candles were placed around a beautifully adorned crib symbolizing peace, love, joy and hope for the world. This meaningful act of devotion resonated deeply with everyone present.
The celebrations officially began with a captivating welcome dance by the students, leaving the audience enthralled. Ayush N. Anchan and Cleon Tauro extended a warm and gracious welcome while Sr. Maria Gracilda A.C.the Principal, presented Sr. Florine Crasta the esteemed guest with a potted plant as a token of appreciation.
Adding a unique charm to the occasion Melrina and Jessica dressed as Mother Mary and Joseph explained the significance of Christmas through symbolic representations. Their thoughtful and creative portrayal enriched the audience's understanding of the season's true essence. A vibrant multicultural carol performance in multiple languages followed showcasing the students talents and filling the atmosphere with festive cheer. A skit highlighting the importance of kindness and sharing during Christmas was performed with great emotion leaving a lasting impression on everyone.
The program continued with a delightful Christmas dance performed by students which captured the spirit of the season through graceful and lively movements. Following this the boys’ shepherd dance brought an energetic and joyful element to the celebration.
This was followed by a spirited rendition of "Jingle Bells" where energetic dances and the grand entry of Santa Claus brought joy and excitement to the gathering.
The Chief Guest Sr. Florine Crasta inspired the audience with her reflections and shared her incredible mission experiences in the northeastern regions of India where she has been serving since 1998.Presently serving as a headmistress in collaboration with the Montfort brothers of saint Gabriel. In her speech she emphasized the values of love and compassion that bring humanity together. Sr. Maria Gracilda A.C. in her address eloquently expressed the true essence of Christmas as the divine act of God becoming man. She also shared a touching incident highlighting how God’s presence can be felt in everyday situations.
The program concluded with a vote of thanks by Shreyas S. Devadiga and Preston John who expressed heartfelt gratitude to everyone who contributed to the success of the celebration. As a token of gratitude Sr. Preena A.C. the Vice Principal, presented a memento to the Chief Guest.
The Masters of Ceremony Anvitha Riya Dsouza and Eva Chrishel Lobo skillfully guided the event captivating the audience with their charm and enthusiasm.
