Dec 30, 2024 : On 19th December, students of Class X A and B from Carmel School embarked on a day of practical learning and community service . They visited MCS Bank as part of their experiential learning program. The visit was an eye-opener, providing students with valuable insights into the processes of opening new bank accounts, understanding different types of accounts, and learning about loan accounts. They also explored the concept of bank membership and its benefits.
The Assistant Manager engaged the students with a detailed and interactive session, addressing their queries and clarifying doubts. The session fostered a deeper understanding of banking operations and concluded with the bank extending their hospitality by offering refreshments to the students.
As part of the SEWA period, the students also demonstrated their commitment to social responsibility. They prepared handmade blackboard dusters and paper bags as a service learning initiative. In a meaningful gesture, they presented the dusters to the Principal of Holy Rosary High School and the paper bags to Dhanvantari Clinic and Medical Center.
This day was a blend of academic enrichment and community engagement, inspiring students to combine learning with service and fostering values of responsibility and teamwork.
