Carmel School CBSE Moodbidri celebrated Christmas on 23rd December 2023 with immense joy, love, and enthusiasm, transforming the campus into a festive wonderland. This wonderful day began with a meaningful Eucharistic banquet celebrated by Fr Rakesh Mathias C.S.S.R, thanking the Lord for his numerous blessings bestowed on every one. The vibrant decorations, including a splendid Christmas tree, crib, gifts, and stars, illuminated the entire school .In the celebration of the festive season, the KG section engaged in various creative activities, fostering a joyful atmosphere. Students enthusiastically participated in crafting Santa caps, snowman and Christmas greetings, adding a festive touch to the learning environment. A short assembly was also meticulously organized to uphold the spirit of Christmas
The day's festivities commenced with a heartfelt prayer service led by students of grade 6A and 3A invoking the Almighty's blessings. Manushree of class 6 A warmly welcomed the esteemed Chief Guest, Mrs Vijetha Pinky Dsa , Advocate presently practising in Moodbidri, Sr Maria Gracilda A. C the principal, Sr Elena the administrator, Sr Preena A.C the Vice principal, Sr Ranitha and Sr Rosy the coordinators for enhancing the festive spirit.
A delightful welcome dance set the tone for the celebration and entertained the gathering with lively Christmas songs. The melodious Christmas carols sung by students filled the air with the spirit of the season. The birth of Jesus Christ was beautifully portrayed in a skit by students of grade 6A, emphasizing the true meaning of Christmas.
Adding a touch of merriment, students of grade 3A performed a cheerful jingle bell dance, spreading wishes for a joyous Christmas. The highlight of the day was the arrival of Santa, captivating everyone as they danced to the cheerful tunes of "Jingle Bells”. Then came the proud moment when Alani Loera Dsouza of grade 3A sang a Konkani song from her music album Kini Kini Kinkule Christmas cover song, it was very melodious.
Various competitions were conducted on the occasion of Christmas like calligraphy,cardmarking ,Carol singing, and wreath making. Notice board competition was also held. Many activities related to Christmas were also conducted in different classes to keep up the festive mood. The chief guest was welcomed and honoured by the principal and dignitaries on the dais. The guest’s Christmas speech emphasized learning from Jesus' s life, urging everyone to embrace obedience, humanity and forgiveness. She encouraged cultivating these virtues for personal growth and fostering a more compassionate society. Later on Sr Gracilda reflected on the timeless symbols of Christmas that inspire humility and kindness. Much like the shepherds who embraced simplicity, let us strive to be guiding stars in the lives of others was her message to all the students.

The school walls, adorned with colourful stars, reflected the festive fervour, and the attire of all attendees in festive red further enhanced the visual appeal.
