On 6th September 2024, the school auditorium resonated with joy and reverence as the community came together to celebrate the Nativity of Mother Mary, Girl Child day , the harvest festival and Literacy Day. The event was graced by Chief Guest Dr. Hezil Reema Barboza Associate Professor at Yenepoya Nursing College, along with Principal Sr. Maria Gracilda A.C, Vice Principal Sr. Preena A.C and coordinators Sr. Ranitha and Sr. Rosy.

The celebration began with a symbolic prayer service and a graceful prayer dance invoking blessings from Mother Mary. Rianna and Rion extended a warm and heartfelt welcome to all while Sr. Maria Gracilda honored the chief guest with a potted plant. A touching gesture followed as students presented roses to the School transport drivers and School helpers showing appreciation for their dedication. Boys then brought the stage alive with a vibrant welcome dance performance.

In a classroom scenario discussion students Arhath, Nidhi, Monishka and Jessica beautifully conveyed the significance of the day's themes. The empowerment of girls was highlighted through an impactful dance enactment. While the skit "Each One, Teach One" promoted the critical importance of literacy for all.

The chief guest Dr. Barboza delivered an inspiring address reflecting on the various themes of the celebration and Tr. Pramila expressed sincere gratitude to the school’s security personnel, School transport drivers and helpers recognizing their invaluable contributions. As a gesture of sharing groceries were distributed to them by the school management bringing smiles to their faces. In her address the Principal Sr. Maria Gracilda reinforced the values of embracing nature, empowering girls and ensuring education for all. Priyona and Jayden closed the event with words of gratitude and a memento was presented to Dr. Hezil Reema Barboza by Sr. Preena as a token of appreciation.

The event thoughtfully organized by Grade 5B students with support from other Grade 5 students was anchored by Advith, Melita, Ria and Vivel. The preparations for the birth of Mary also saw active participation from Catholic students who offered flowers to Mother Mary during the novenas.

On September 7th the Carmel Blossoms Association from our school visited the Home for the aged run by the Little Sister's of the Poor at Maroli, Mangalore .The students spent valuable time interacting with the residents, listening to their stories and sharing moments of warmth. They were deeply touched by the compassionate care provided by the sisters to the elderly. As part of the school's outreach students collected and offered grains, coconuts and vegetables to support the home. A short recreational program was arranged bringing smiles and joy to the residents. The visit was a heartfelt experience leaving lasting impressions on both the students and the residents.

The celebration was a remarkable blend of faith, gratitude and commitment to social causes leaving an inspiring and lasting impression on all.
