On 2nd October 2024, Carmel School Moodbidri celebrated a solemn and heartfelt tribute to the Father of our Nation Mahatma Gandhi through a ritualistic program organized by the vibrant and enthusiastic students of Grade 4B. The event was a true reflection of their deep love and respect for the legendary leader who advocated peace, non-violence and truth.

The programme was graced by distinguished guests including Dr. Arvind Kini a renowned eye specialist and Managing Director of Sri Srinivasa Netralaya along with Sr Maria Gracilda A. C. our respected Principal Sr Preena A.C the Vice-Principal, Sr Elena A.C the Administrator, and Coordinators Sr Ranita A.C and Sr Rosy A.C. The gathering of parents, teachers and students added to the solemnity of the occasion.

The event commenced with a soulful prayer service invoking blessings and setting a tone of reverence. Following this the dignitaries lit the ceremonial lamp symbolizing knowledge prosperity and the dawn of new ideas. The significance of the day was beautifully portrayed through a skit executed with grace and passion by the young students. This was followed by a prodigious dance performance that highlighted Gandhian principles and the importance of the day.

The Chief Guest Dr. Arvind Kini delivered an inspiring address on the "Values of Mahatma Gandhi," urging the young audience to imbibe these timeless principles in their lives. Our beloved Principal Sr Maria Gracilda A.C also spoke on the occasion focusing on the sacrifice and devotion of the Mahatma to the nation and humanity.
