On 30th September 2024, Red Day was celebrated with vibrant energy and excitement transforming the classroom into a lively display of red-themed decorations, activities and learning experiences. The theme for the day was “Red Fruits and Flowers” which was creatively reflected in every aspect of the celebration.
All students dressed up in red outfits wearing charming crowns on their heads symbolizing the importance of the color. The classroom atmosphere was adorned with red flowers, fruits and toys setting a perfect backdrop for the day’s activities.
Students enthusiastically learned about various red-colored fruits such as apples, strawberries, pomegranates, plums, cherries and watermelons. They also discovered the significance of eating healthy fruits and how it benefits the body. In connection with World Heart Day the children were introduced to symbols like the heart, drops of blood and red flowers learning their importance in promoting heart health.
The highlight of the day was the creative art activities. Students engaged in making fruit impressions using unique techniques—strawberries with earbuds, watermelons with toothpicks and apples with cotton. They also participated in a craft session creating beautiful red hearts, apples and flowers using red paper. Fun games like the "Red Color Hunt" encouraged students to explore and find red objects around the classroom enhancing their color recognition skills.
In a delightful musical moment students learned and sang rhymes about the red apple further enhancing their engagement. They also participated in an imaginative leaf impression activity creating a tree poster that added to the classroom’s visual charm. This hands-on experience taught them the beauty of nature and how to use their artistic abilities to represent it.
In addition to the fun, students joyfully shared red fruits with each other fostering a sense of togetherness. The Red Day celebration left everyone excited and inspired with each student taking home not only memories of a colorful day but also valuable lessons about healthy eating, creativity and teamwork.
