Carmel School CBSE Moodbidri observed Fit India School Week from 11th to 17th December with various activities to instil the understanding of regular physical fitness activity thereby enhancing confidence and self-esteem in the students.
Several virtual activities were conducted during the week in an attempt to promote fitness among the students their parents and the staff. The main aim was to develop sports quotient among the students to achieve a healthy lifestyle. Various virtual activities were organised for students.
The students of Classes 1st and 2nd participated in dance forms for fitness. Aerobics were organized for Classes 3rd and 4th. Yoga sessions were held for Classes 5th and 6th. All students participating in the virtual fitness activities were properly attired in t-shirt and trousers. Classes’ 7th and 8th students made fitness themed drawings and presented them. Essays on fitness as a way to fight the pandemic and drawings highlighting fitness as a topic were presented by the students of Class 9th and 10th.
Parents also actively took part and presented the posters on the theme “Hum Fit Toh India fit or New India Fit”. Teachers went on a marathon run and attended yoga sessions.
A talk was organized on “Wellness Awareness Programme” for the staff to promote healthy life with physical activities. This encouraged the whole school faculty, students and the parents remain fit and active in their present life scenario.
