International Women's Day is celebrated throughout the globe on 8th of March to encourage and appreciate their remarkable achievements. A day to recognise the potential of women and their contributions to our society.

Carmel School CBSE Moodbidri dedicated this day to all the strong women in the world. The day commemorated with the prayer service by the students. On the occasion of International Women's Day the school organised an awareness talk on Cyber Crime for classes from V to X. The session commenced by invoking God's blessings with a prayer song. The Resource Person for the session was Sir Sudeep, Sub Inspector of Moodbidri Police Station. Reeve Dias of Class X welcomed the Resource Person and the gathering. Sir Sudeep in his talk alerted the students with the latest information on cyber crimes, hacking, artificial intelligence, Internet fraud, recharge fraud, ATM skimming, message spoofing, call spoofing and cyber laws in India. He emphasized them to follow the safest methods in using google apps and the internet. These were effectively explained through appropriate examples. He also made the students aware of drug addiction and the legal measures undertaken to control drug menace. To conclude, in his speech Sir recognized the role and importance of women in life’s various domains. Acknowledging different career options now available for women to excel in, he inspired the students to show strength and perseverance in one’s life. The input session was interesting and knowledgeable.

The programme was compered by Zuha of Class X and vote of thanks was proposed by Stella Saji of Class X.
